* The Counseling Center is making Drummond Chapel available 7-8 a.m. Monday through Friday for silent meditation. Practitioners of meditation are invited to join. There will be no instruction available for participants. Drummond Chapel is located on the third floor of Memorial Union.
* A relaxation and mindfulness meditation workshop will provide instructions for meditation 4-5 p.m. on Wednesdays in Drummond Chapel.

* Identifying Best Practices and Assessment Strategies for Teaching On-Line Courses discussion will be held Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. in Jenness Lobby and Soderberg Lounge.
The brown bag panel discussion will provide an opportunity for all faculty interested in teaching and learning on-line to explore incorporating some on-line elements into an existing course and to share ideas with colleagues about problems and successes, best practices and assessment of student learning on-line. * A performance of Othello by the Aquila Theatre Company will take place Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at the Maine Center for the Arts in the Hutchins Concert Hall.
* Two showings of 2 Fast 2 Furious will be Wednesday night at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. The movie will be show in DPC 100. It is presented by Campus Activities and Events.
* The panel disscussion “Veterans for Peace and the Gulf Wars” will take place Thursday from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. in the Bangor Room in Memorial Union.
The panel includes Vietnam veteran Al Larson, Gulf War veteran Kim Hawkins and Korean War veteran Mel Burke. The disscussion is part of the Socialist and Marxist Studies Luncheoon Series.
* Habits of Highly Sucessful Investors, financial workshops with Jackie Edwards will be held at 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. in 220 Corbett Hall on Wednesday. The Workshop is offered by TIAA/ CREF and the University of Maine.
* The American Red Cross and the Black Bear Volunteers will hold a blood drive 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday in Wells Commons.

* A presentation titled “Rest Easy: A Workshop For Understanding and Improving Sleep” will be held 3-4 p.m. Tuesday at the Counseling Center.
