The University of Maine women’s soccer team suffered its third conference loss of the season Sunday, falling at Binghamton University 1-0.
UMaine held an 8-5 edge in shots but couldn’t put one home, slipping to 11-3-1 on the year, 3-3 on conference.
The setback came days after the Black Bears got back on the winning track with a 2-0 win over Albany at home on Thursday. Senior Laura Harper scored both goals in the match and goalie Jasmine Phillips recorded her eighth shutout of the season.
UMaine slips to fourth place in the conference with two matches remaining. The Black Bears host Vermont on Thursday at 3 p.m.
