Students summonsed for rope burning, alcohol
On Dec. 9 at 1:38 a.m. an officer was on patrol with two RAs in Penobscot Hall when they overheard a male in the hallway talking to another male. One male said to the other, “Meet me in my room and we’ll burn a rope.

After a tumultous campaign, the FEPC announced that Priyanth Chandresekar has been certified as president of Student Government during its last regular meeting of the semester.

General Student Senate

Recently, University of Maine Student Government, Inc. held our annual Executive elections. Several weeks before this though, at a regular meeting of the General Student Senate, it was questioned whether ample time was allowed for potential candidates to be notified of the election, take out petitions to run, and submit them.
Coming into this indoor track-and-field season, both the University of Maine men’s and women’s squads were predicted to be in the middle of the pack of America East. Even with last weekend’s defeat at the hands of New Hampshire in the season’s first meet, the Black Bears still have lofty goals.
