No respect for sovereignty

A bike theft was reported from the storage room in the basement of Kennebec Hall at 4:24 p.m. March 23. A resident of Kennebec said the nearby bike rack was full, so he left it in the storage room. The Blue Sovereign bike is valued at $100.

On the john for too long?

Someone burnt a toilet paper holder in the first floor men’s bathroom of Cumberland Hall on March 23, according to a custodian. Police and custodian believe someone held a lighter under the holder for a considerable amount of time, since the plastic was scorched and melted.

Old town town car

Old Town Police informed Public Safety they were looking for a green 2004 Lincoln town car that was stolen from an Old Town resident March 22. A UMaine officer located the vehicle in the Hilltop Parking Lot while patrolling March 24. Old Town Police secured the car to process it for evidence as they continue the investigation.

Decalculated

A faculty member reported parking her car in the Beta lot for the day March 24. During that time, her parking decal was removed from her vehicle. The decal is valued at $35.

Locks of lost love

After parking his vehicle in the Collins Center for the Arts Parking Lot from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. March 24, a student reported a missing commuter parking decal. The student believes that he had locked his car, but it was unlocked when he returned that morning. The decal is valued at $35 and the matter is under investigation.

The tables are turned

Public Safety received a call concerning a suspicious male and female in the CCA lot at 10 a.m. March 26. The two subjects are Student Parking Services employees and were checking for violations.

Conflict resolution

A man and woman were in a verbal fight outside of Stevens Hall at 5:23 p.m. March 26. The two were in a disagreement which was resolved upon a Public Safety officer’s arrival. Both parties were apologetic for making a scene. The officer found the incident was not an issue of criminal misconduct.

Misunderstood boyfriend

A man was standing suspiciously outside the bushes of Knox Hall at 1:35 a.m. March 27. Public Safety located the subject, who said he was waiting for his girlfriend. His girlfriend arrived, and the two went on their way.
