The Mormon Church did not contribute ANY money financially to the Yes on 8 campaign in California in 2008. I can assure you they have not been deceitful. Individual members of the church did contribute, however, but there is no way to know a person's religious affiliation when reporting individual contributions.

I seem to recall that the Mormons were polygamists prior to state-hood and the US government stipulation for state-hood was to give up their polyamist ways...

As I watch the economic reports of the Catholic Church closing historic churches due to lack of finances, catholic schools being closed, programs not offered to children, it makes me sick to hear the church is donating to any political agenda.

How many families in Maine lost their homes over the last 2 years, how many families in Maine face poverty. How many victims of crime and violence went without the care they needed, and yet the Catholic church who petitions for town funding to help it's schools, are now using collections to fight the rights of others in the eyes of the law.

My definition of Christ like and Christain Values is beyond offended. The bishops return to their nice homes, household staff, and dictate that money that should be used for the flock is to be used to alienate gay men and women who are also created by God is something that drove me out of the Catholic Church. It's appauling and it's obviously a poor use of their tax exempt status, and hardly preaches a message of love.

Religious gay equality haters don't play by the rules. The Mormon church still has not reported it's total contributions towards proposition 8, so why would any of these money laundering groups be honest today?

Religious zealots are attempting to bury their money trail, and you may be falling for their illegal campaign lies!

Don't let them get away with it, and prosecute them!
