Dr Robert Dana is one such individual that seeks nothing more to pull the wool over the eyes of the student body. The sheer arrogance of the gay community shows that they are merely attempting to justify their deplorable practices. The first is about the words "separation of church and state" not being in the constitution. Neither are the words "Right to a fair trial" or "Right to Privacy." Simply because the words are not there does not mean that the concept is not. Second, I do not believe that "secularists" want to silence and omit people with religious beliefs from participating in the government of this country. What they object to is the collective power of churches or other religious groups acting like lobbies, and affecting the outcome of elections and legal votes with vast sums of money. I would argue that using sacred texts as a reason to deny rights to people is bigoted. It was bigoted in the 1800's when the bible was used as justification of slavery. It was bigoted in the 1960's when the bible was used to justify laws against miscegenation. White Supremacist still use the bible as justification of these views. It is bigoted today when it is used as justification to ban gay marriage. Certainly all of these issues used bible passages to devastating affect to win over the minds of the feeble and suppress the rights of their fellow citizens.
