Incendiary information
A resident assistant reported a bulletin board had been singed sometime before 8:15 p.m. Oct. 24 on the second floor of Cumberland Hall. The fire did not spread.
Pummeled Pontiac
A 2001 Silver Pontiac Grand Am was hit by another vehicle in the Hilltop parking lot sometime between 10:45 p.m. Oct. 22 and 8 a.m. Oct. 23. The owner of the Pontiac reported the damage at 2:34 p.m. Oct. 25. The Pontiac’s front bumper and hood were struck, resulting in an estimated $800 of damage. The University of Maine Police Department currently has no suspects in this case and requests information from anyone who may know something about the incident.
Late-night landscaping
UMPD responded to a report of criminal mischief at Gannett Hall at 9:59 p.m. Oct. 25 Officers found the north lawn had been torn up by car tires but were unable to locate a suspect. Damages to the lawn are estimated at $300.
Lopsided ride
The owner of an ATV parked on a trailer in the York complex parking lot reported one of the tires had been slashed Oct. 25 sometime before 7:38 p.m. The trailer was attached to the ATV owner’s vehicle. UMPD currently has no suspects in this case. Damages to the ATV are estimated at $150.
Whaling on the trailer
UMPD received a report of a damaged left wheel cover on a trailer at the School of Marine Sciences Oct. 25 at 1:43 p.m. “It looks like someone stood on it and bent it,” said UMPD Detective Bill Flagg. Damages to the trailer are estimated at $15.
Catching a whiff of mischief
UMPD responded to a report of the smell of marijuana on the second floor of Androscoggin Hall Oct. 25 at 11:45 p.m. Two male students admitted to smoking marijuana earlier in the evening but were not found to be in possession of marijuana. Both students were referred to Judicial Affairs.
Brewniversity of Oxford
Three underage males were found to be in possession of alcohol Oct. 23 at 9:54 p.m. The three males were drinking beer in the dorm room of Jordan Beaulieu, 18, on the fourth floor of Oxford Hall. Student Ryan Lesseski, 19, and Arundel resident Alexander Lauzon, 19, were also in the room. All three were issued a summons for possession of alcohol by a minor, and Beaulieu and Lesseski were referred to Judicial Affairs.
