I would think that someone or some agency needs to address the hiring process and how individuals are awarded, positions. It is ridiculous and no one seems to care or are able to deal with it. Not even our governor ?

The plan to expand to 15,000 by 2017 sounds contradictory to other findings concerning a demographic of a limited pool of secondary school students in Maine (ie a reduction in youth population). So where will the increase come from unless there is a plan to import students from Asia or the Middle East? Due to restrictions initiated by National Security policies we are seeing fewer students opting to come to the U.S. & more Asians & 3rd world countries sending their students to Europe & Canada. So I think this optimistic view of 15,000 students is pie in the sky thinking. Also, the idea for "Blue Sky Project" seems to be entirely focused on employment preparation rather than real education (ie the Humanities & Liberal Arts) which would at least give students some skills in critical thinking instead of merely job training. It was announced a month ago that when Google hired 9000 young people they deliberately chose over 80% from the liberal arts & humanities because they were considered more well rounded vis a vis job preparation.
