It is a farce to contend this question is about “equity”( or equal rights if you will.) If the people behind this question were truly concerned about equal rights, they would be working to get the State OUT of the marriage busines and to remove those 1400 benefits the government bestows on folks who choose to marry (any gender.)
If gays and lesbians want what hetros have fine. but that is not equal, It is about elevating themselves above single folks, just as straight couples have done since forever.
Get off your high moral horses and admit it.
