It is enjoyable to see the next generation discover this genre of music and identify its evolution in retrospect. Josh Deakin has done his research and presents details that I didn't even know or don't remember having lived through those years listening to this music. The subject matter is near and dear to my heart, with Q-Tip being one of my all-time favorite rappers, and Deakin covers it well. I’m really appreciating this series on rap history.
