10:54 p.m. – Hostile in nature
University of Maine Police Department (UMPD) responded to a reported odor of marijuana in Gannett Hall. Upon arrival, officers reported that the students were angry and uncooperative, being “hostile in nature” to resident assistants (RA). Though officers could smell marijuana in the room, the residents denied entry and were referred to Judicial Affairs (JA).

UMPD responded to a report of underaged drinking in Cumberland Hall. Officers made contact with all of those involved, stating that “everyone was nice”, “very cooperative” and “compliant.” The liquor, a bottle of Malibu, was disposed of in the bathroom sink. All six involved were referred to JA.
1:29 p.m. – Get out of Gannett
UMPD responded to a disorderly conduct complaint at Gannett Hall. Officers were told that Michael Nigro, 19, of Waterville, showed up to a resident’s room uninvited. He was asked to leave, but he did not leave. When officers found him, he had a small amount of weed in his possession.
Nigro was issued a harassment notice, a trespassing notice and a summons for possession of a usable amount of marijuana.

3:44 p.m. – Doo your worst
UMPD responded to a disorderly conduct complaint, referencing feces smeared on the door handle of a room in Somerset Hall. The victim of the smearing said that it is an ongoing incident that started over a group chat. UMPD’s Keith Mercier said there is a suspect, although the consequences will be almost unprecedented.
“More than likely, it will be a referral,” Mercier said of the incident. “But, it wouldn’t be criminal mischief because this is no damage.”
9:31 p.m. – Denial despair
UMPD responded to a reported odor of marijuana in Hancock Hall. Officers traced the odor to the room of Madison Suniga, a 20-year-old student. Suniga took full responsibility for the odor, handing over a plastic bag of weed, a bong made from a Canadian Mist bottle, another pipe and some rolling papers. Suniga then denied a search of her room.
Suniga was summonsed for possession of paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. She was also referred to JA.
