Officer Morse stopped the man identified as Andrey Klokov, 22, of Orono and noticed him with an open bag of chips in his hand. Officer Morse confronted the suspect, who was observed to be intoxicated. Klokov confessed to stealing the chips from the Alltown gas station. The suspect was apologetic and cooperative. Sept. 29 – 12:20 a.m.

While Officer James of the OPD was on patrol at the intersection of Park Street, he noticed a vehicle driving with only marker lights but no headlights on. Officer James performed a traffic stop and determined that the driver, Cole Jakobs, 22, of Naples was driving from his friend’s house. Officer James noted that Jakobs seemed intoxicated and Jakobs stated that he had only had one beer at a friend’s house. Officer James conducted a field sobriety test and determined that Jakobs did not pass satisfactorily. Jakobs was escorted to the OPD by Officer James, where a blood alcohol test showed that Jakobs’ blood alcohol level was higher than 0.8. Jakobs was summoned for operating under the influence.
