The United4Visibility march met under overcast skies at the Peirce Memorial in Bangor on March 26 around 5:30 p.m. Participants created signs, carried banners, and chanted as they marched toward the West Market Square for a series of speeches. Wabanaki Two Spirit Alliance organized the event and Secretary Adrian Sockalexis addressed participants of the march shortly before its scheduled start. Participants gathered until the crowd grew to about 40 and chatted before the official start of the march. According to promotional posters shared by organizers ahead of the event, the march was meant to serve as a “protest against the current state of the country” given “all people deserve safety in our nation.”

Two masked participants arrived shortly before the start of the march. Despite their hidden faces, the participants talked with other marchers and had created signs. Volunteers dressed in neon were present to ensure the safety of march participants.

The energy prior to the march was positive preparations were made. A dog played fetch nearby as a march participant threw sticks.

March participants carried a variety of signs catered to various social causes and efforts. Sockalexis carried a bull horn and march participants repeated his chants as the march began.
