Down and out

12:40 a.m. – The University of Maine Police Department (UMPD) responded to a report of an intoxicated person on the side of Munson Road near Balentine Hall. The student was so intoxicated that they were transported to St. Joseph for medical treatment.

Stop, not SebaGO!

1:07 a.m. – A UMPD officer pulled over a vehicle on Sebago Road for failing to stop at a stop sign. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer noted a distinct smell of marijuana and searched the vehicle. The officer found alcohol, marijuana and paraphernalia during the search. Summonsed for the incident were two first-year students. Meade was summonsed for illegal transport of alcohol, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. The student was summonsed for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

Sept. 5

First time affairs

12:18 a.m. – UMPD officers responded to a noise complaint at Somerset Hall. When officers made it to the scene, two male first-year students were cooperative and received referrals to judicial affairs for alcohol.

12:57 a.m. – A noise complaint brought UMPD officers to Gannett Hall, where one male first-year student was cited for alcohol and referred to judicial affairs.

Sept. 9

Dude, where’s my bike?

4:02 p.m. – UMPD officers responded to a call of a stolen bicycle at York Hall. Upon arrival, officers found that the owner’s chain was broken and the bike, estimated at $2,000, was missing. The incident is still under investigation.
