Around noon, the University of Maine Police Department (UMPD) responded to a criminal mischief report from the Collins Center for the Arts (CCA) parking lot. A student told officers that their vehicle’s rear windshield had been broken while they were in class. After searching the vehicle and surrounding area, UMPD found no evidence the window had been intentionally damaged. Officers also reviewed camera footage and did not see anyone approach the vehicle, suggesting the damage may have been caused by cold temperatures.
